Stakeholder involvement and engagement are vital strategies throughout the project’s life cycle and Work Packages. WHY? Because we understand the need to reduce breast cancer risk and improve quality of life for BC patients and survivors by creating a new way to encourage lasting behaviour changes. Our objective is to bolster the adoption of lifestyle prevention programs and address inequalities within and between EU countries/regions. We will co-develop personalised lifestyle interventions and identify existing bottlenecks to intervention implementation by collaborating with community stakeholders, policymakers, advocates, healthcare providers, and breast cancer patients representatives.

Your input matters: Join us in our mission to address barriers towards sustainable behaviour change for breast cancer prevention.

Patients and Citizens

Patients and citizens are at the core of MELIORA. MELIORA will focus on promoting a healthier lifestyle, reducing breast cancer stressors, and advocating for early-stage diagnosis, fostering a community committed to longevity, well-being, and a cancer-free life, positioning stakeholders—comprising healthy women, breast cancer survivors, patients, and the general female population—as primary beneficiaries.

Policymakers

MELIORA empowers policymakers to craft targeted, evidence-based breast cancer policy decisions. The initiative enhances the precision of preventive measures and screening programs for each specific target group, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and scientific findings to extend outreach to underrepresented and vulnerable populations.

Healthcare professionals

MELIORA equips healthcare professionals with essential patient information through its intelligent digital tools, enhancing their capacity to implement more effective and efficient strategies for behavior change in the context of breast cancer prevention.

We believe in the power of inclusivity. All stakeholders, including patient interest groups, NGOs, and representatives from other sectors, have an active role in co-creating the MELIORA. This involvement ensures widespread utilisation of the project’s outcomes, empowering policymakers and communities to effectively promote healthier behaviors and mitigate the risk of breast cancer.
